Motorcyclist killed in North Kerry road collision named locally

The man who died in a road collision in North Kerry on Saturday evening has been named locally.

John Lynch was killed following a collision between his motorcycle and a van, on the L1015 road from the N69 to Moyvane village.

Mr Lynch, who was in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene; the driver of the van - a man in his 70s - was taken to University Hospital Kerry, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the area at about 7 o clock on Saturday evening - especially those with dashcam footage - to contact Listowel Garda Station, on 068 50820.
