Missing Fassbender portrait turns up after going missing in Killarney

A piece of street art featuring a portrait of actor Michael Fassbender - which went missing in Killarney - has been located.

The art work, painted on to an electricity box, had mysteriously vanished from its location near the court house at East Avenue Road.

It was created as part of a project funded by Kerry County Council, which also included a likeness of Jessie Buckley.

The artist behind the project, Paul Egan, confirmed that the missing Fassbender likeness turned up this week, across from the petrol station on Park Road.

He says that while it's quite damaged, he's hopeful it can be restored and returned to its original location.

It's not yet known how the box came to be removed and placed in another part of Killarney.
