If Garda management are afraid to deal with gardaí who are not doing their job, that culture within the force needs to change.
That’s according to Minister of State with special responsibility for rural transport, Jerry Buttimer.
He was reacting to the Crowe Report, which found that a substantial number of gardaí assigned to roads policing, were not doing their jobs and had no interest in doing so.
Jerry Buttimer says the findings are disturbing:
Junior Minister Buttimer is in North Kerry today for a number of engagements.
He is joining Fine Gael colleagues in Kerry Senator Mike Kennelly and Cllr Bobby O’Connell in Ballybunion.
Deputy Buttimer will meet with the local development association and attend the launch of a new Fáilte Ireland facility at the men’s beach.
