Minister asks Tusla to review all closed cases in which it engaged with children

The Minister for Children has asked Tusla to review all cases where it was engaging with children which were closed.

Kerry Fianna Fáil TD, Norma Foley made the plea as Gardaí continue their second day of searches in Dublin, for a seven-year old who is presumed dead.

An Garda Síochána and forensic experts are examining an area of open land near Donabate for the boy, who was last seen up to four years ago.

He was known to Tusla - but the agency says it ended engagement with his family five years ago.

Minister Norma Foley is urging for follow up welfare checks on such cases and wants to be assured there are no similar cases to that in North Dublin:
