A Mid Kerry residential care centre has received a positive report from the health watchdog.
HIQA carried out an unannounced inspection on Sonas Nursing Home, Ashborough, Milltown on August 27th.
The centre, which is registered to provide care to 58 residents, was inspected across 12 areas of the Health Act 2007.

Inspectors found Sonas Nursing Home to be fully compliant in eleven categories, and substantially compliant in one – infection control.
To meet compliance the centre replaced all cleaning carts and installed further clinical handwashing sink.
The Health Information and Quality Authority noted that residents were very complimentary about the standard of care provided.
