A status yellow rainfall warning comes into effect later this afternoon.

Met Eireann says Kerry, Cork and Clare will experience accumulations of between 20-40mm, with potentially higher amounts on mountainous areas.

It says, as soils are already saturated, this will lead to spot flooding.

The status yellow rainfall warning comes into effect at 3pm this afternoon and is valid until midday tomorrow.
