An Ireland South MEP says there is always help if you find yourself in an abusive or coercive relationship.
Kathleen Funchion was speaking after her ex-partner was jailed for four months under coco’s law.
She says a sign that you are in an abusive relationship is when you start to question yourself and ask if you are the problem, not your partner.
MEP Funchion says it’s important for people to be non-judgemental and supportive to domestic abuse sufferers.
Meanwhile, Kathleen Funchion says legislation has improved in the area of domestic abuse in recent years.
