MEP calls for automatic consent on wind farms awaiting approval over two years 

A Kerry MEP has called for automatic approvals on renewable energy projects, if the planning process takes over two years.

Sean Kelly says he’s frustrated with delays on wind farms, due to lengthy planning and licensing rules.

The government is due to put forward a bill to streamline the process soon.
