Seven members of Derrynane Inshore Rescue Service have been recognised for 30 years of service at a ceremony in Dublin.
All those receiving their awards from Water Safety Ireland were founder members of the voluntary rescue station.
Derrynane Inshore Rescue Service assists in incidents from Derrynane to Kenmare as well as down to Dursey Island and as far west as the Skelligs.
The ceremony took place in the O’Reilly Hall in UCD yesterday; those from Derrynane received their awards along with other members of the Community Rescue Boats of Ireland (CRBI).
