On Tuesday, four children were rescued from the water off Derrynane after they got caught in rip currents. Thankfully, everyone was safe and well. Following the incident, Derrynane Inshore Rescue CRBI (Community Rescue Boat Ireland) posted on social media that some people were ignoring signs on Derrynane Beach relating to water safety, including those that advise people not to swim in particular areas.
