Man who died in collision near Killarney named locally

The man who died in a road traffic collision near Killarney at the weekend has been named locally.

Brian Cronin died when his car collided with a tree at around 11:20pm on Saturday night, at Knockdooragh, Headford.

Cllr Niall Kelleher said Mr Cronin, who was from Rathmore, was a very hard-working young man and that his death is tragic.

Cllr Kelleher said Mr Cronin was the father of two young children.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnesses the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage, to contact them.
