A man undertaking a 6000km barefoot trek from Istanbul to Mayo has arrived in the Kingdom this week.
Eamonn Keaveney has traveled through Turkey, Bulgaria and Hungary completely shoe-less, raising funds for Jigsaw and Friends of the Earth.
His journey began in early 2025 and has been documented on social media as "Barefoot Across Europe".
He broke the Guinness World Record for barefoot walking in September.
He arrived in Rathmore this week, on day 328, and has since travelled through Barraduff and Kilcummin, before taking a break in Dingle to recover from a foot injury he sustained on the route.
