A man has been taken to University Hospital Kerry after his car overturned outside Castlemaine.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene at around 11 o'clock this morning, about one mile outside Castlemaine on the Tralee side.
The road was closed both ways for a time, but has since reopened.

The man's injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Meanwhile gardaí say the Tralee side of the road in Aughacasla has reopened following an earlier accident.
