Man remanded in custody in relation to alleged €100,000 arson in North Kerry

A man has been remanded in custody in relation to an alleged arson incident in North Kerry.

47-year-old Corvin Rode Griffin of 7 Cloverfield Estate, John B Keane Road, Listowel appeared before Judge David Waters, facing one charge.

It’s alleged that on June 11th at 7 Cloverfield Estate, Listowel, he caused €100,000 worth of damage to a property.

The court previously heard that further charges may be brought in relation to the case.

At Tralee District Court, Sgt Stephen O’Brien told Judge Waters that instructions from the Director of Public Prosecution are not yet available.

The judge further remanded Mr Rode-Griffin in custody, to appear before Tralee District Court on July 2nd, via-video link for DPP directions.
