Man dies following crash in Listry

A man has died following a collision at Listry this evening.
Diversions are in place. Traffic approaching from Killarney is diverted at Faha Cross and traffic from Milltown at Listry Cross.
At approximately 8pm, gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the collision involving a car and motorcycle at Listry on the R563 between Killarney and Milltown.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was removed from the scene by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry. Gardaí have confirmed he has died.  The road is closed tonight and will remain closed tomorrow morning.
The scene is preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and traffic diversions will remain in place overnight.
Investigating gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward. They are also appealing to anyone with video footage (including dash cam) from the location to make it available to them.

UPDATED: Wednesday 11.50am: Gardaí have confirmed that the Listry crash occurred between Listry Cross and Faha Cross, and not at Listry bridge as they earlier started.
