Man in his 40s dies after crash in North Kerry

A man in his 40s has died after a crash involving a motorcycle and truck in North Kerry.

The crash happened on the N69 at around 10 o’clock this morning.

The collision involving a truck and a motorcycle happened at Tieraclea, on the Listowel side of Tarbert village.

The driver of the motorcycle, a man in his 40s, has been pronounced dead at the scene.

The N69 Tralee to Limerick road, often referred to as the ‘Coast Road’ which travels via Listowel and Tarbert, remains closed; local diversions are in place.

Gardaí say a technical examination will take place by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.

Anyone who may have camera, including dash-cam, footage and was travelling in the area between 9:45 and 10:15am are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.

Anyone with information should contact Listowel garda station on 068 50820, the garda confidential line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
