A man has given an interview under caution, as part of the ongoing Garda investigation into the death of Declan Anthony Wall in Kilgarvan.
Mr Wall who was in his seventies, was found unresponsive on Church Street in the village in the early hours of Wednesday morning, July 30, and later pronounced dead.
While it's believed that a car may have accidentally collided with the man prior to his death, Gardaí are not treating the death as foul play.
Solicitor Padraig O’Connell attended the scene on Saturday; he confirmed that a client of his has given an interview under caution, but no arrests have been made.
Gardaí say they are continuing to investigate all of the circumstances surrounding Mr Wall's death.
They're appealing to anyone who may have information regarding this incident to come forward.
Any person—including road users and pedestrians—who was in the Church Street area between 12:00am and 2:00am is asked to contact investigating Gardaí.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Killarney Garda Station on 064 667 1160, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
