A man who died in Killarney over the weekend is being described a great team player who was very much part of his local community.

A man who died in Killarney over the weekend is being described a great team player who was very much part of his local community.

Gardaí are continuing their criminal investigation into the 26-year-old Darragh Sheehan's death in Killarney on Saturday night.

The IT Tralee graduate from Doneraile in north Cork was found unconscious outside the Gleneagle Hotel at 11.40pm and was later pronounced dead.

Local Fianna Fáil Cllr Frank O'Flynn, who knows the Sheehan family, says the community in Doneraile are finding it very difficult to come to terms with Darragh's death:

Meanwhile, The Southern Region of the Horse and Pony Racing Association are offering their sympathies to the family of Darragh Sheehan.

The association said Darragh was a welcome visitor to the weekly meetings in the summer months in Kerry for many years.
