A man has been arrested as gardaí investigate an assault which happened this morning in Tralee town centre.
Gardaí say they attended the scene of an assault on James Street in Tralee at approximately 11:15 this morning.
A man in his 40s was arrested and brought to a garda station, where he can be held for a maximum of 24 hours excluding rest periods.

The injured party was brought to University Hospital Kerry for treatment of injuries, which are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
