Gardaí have said a woman in her 50s and a man in his 40s were taken hospital yesterday afternoon following a fire in Listowel.
Emergency services were alerted to the fire at College Cross Apartments on the Ballygologue Road at around five-past-three yesterday afternoon (3:05pm).
Listowel and Ballybunion fire units attended the scene and the two were taken by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry.

The Peter McVerry Trust has confirmed that the fire happened at one of its managed properties in Listowel.
It says no injuries have been reported.
In a statement, the trust said it is cooperating with local gardaí and the Fire and Rescue Service in its investigations to determine the cause of the incident.
