A man accused of burgling a Tralee house which was occupied by a pensioner has been remanded in custody.
41-year-old Jamie Norman of 42 Lios Rua, Tralee appeared before Judge Mark O’Connell at Tralee District Court.
It’s alleged that at around half past midnight on August 27th, that Jamie Norman burgled a house on Spa Road in Tralee.
The court previously heard that the owner of the home, a woman in her 70s and her 25-year-old grandson, were both in the house at the time.
Mr Norman is also accused of stealing a Tommy Hilfiger wallet containing bank cards and various IDs from a car outside the same house.
He also faces a charge of possession of stolen property.
Mr Norman appeared before Tralee District Court via video-link from Cork Prison.
Sergeant Chris Manton told Judge Mark O’Connell that the case was in for production of the book of evidence, however, it’s not yet available.
Solicitor for the accused, Padraig O’Connell told the court that he consented to a further remand in custody, however, his client is anxious that the book of evidence is served as soon as possible.
Judge O’Connell remanded Mr Norman in continuing custody, to appear before Tralee District Court on October 1st.
