Local authority home loan limits in Kerry are set to increase.
Housing Minister James Browne has announced enhancements to the scheme and to the local authority purchase and renovation loan.
The government backed home loan scheme was launched in January 2022 for first time buyers and fresh start applicants.
It can be used to purchase a new or second-hand property or for self-build, and provides up to 90% of the market value of the property.
The changes will see the local authority home loan limit in Kerry increase by €35,000 to €310,000, from the second quarter of this year.
The announcement has been welcomed by Fine Gael Senator Mike Kennelly and Fianna Fáil TD Michael Cahill.
