Listowel Writers' Week has announced an increase to the Pigott Poetry Prize award.
The award - now in its 13th year - is Ireland’s largest monetary prize for a new poetry collection by an Irish poet.
The 2026 winner will receive €20,000, with €2,000 awarded to each of the two shortlisted poets.

The announcement comes as the literary festival celebrates it’s 55th anniversary in 2026.
Listowel Writers’ Week takes place from May 27th until May 31st this year.
