The chair of a residents’ association in Listowel is calling for more storm water relief to help prevent flooding in the area.
Michael Guerin is chair of the Clieveragh and Bedford Residents’ Association.
He feels there isn’t adequate storm water drainage in the area, which he says is now highly populated.
Mr Guerin was speaking at the opening of the €2 million Clieveragh Flood Relief Scheme in Listowel yesterday.
He says this storm water is flooding the roads, forcing pedestrians to walk out on the road in areas that lack footpaths.
