Laois Rose Katelyn Cummins is the 2025 International Rose of Tralee.
The 20-year-old is the first Rose from Laois to win the title.
Katelyn was presented with her sash by last year’s Rose of Tralee Keely O’Grady.
RTÉ’s Dáithí Ó Sé and Kathryn Thomas made the announcement live from the Kerry Sports Academy at MTU to national and global TV audiences.
Viewers of the event which was televised and streamed over two nights included audiences from New Zealand, Mozambique, Canada and the US.
People have gathered in Tralee town centre to serenade Katelyn and to enjoy the traditional Midnight Madness event and fireworks display.
Katelyn, who’s an apprentice electrician, described her reaction when she was announced the 65th winner of the Rose of Tralee.
After Katelyn Cummins received her sash from last year's Rose of Tralee Keely O'Grady, she was brought to Tralee town centre.
There people gathered on Denny Street to congratulate her and to enjoy the festival's traditional Midnight Madness event and fireworks display.
There's been some focus on the fact that Katelyn is an apprentice electrician.
She welcomes the attention that her choice of career has received.
