Knocknagoshel man pleads guilty in major drugs case

A Knocknagoshel man has pleaded guilty to possession of drugs which were valued at over €1 million.

Peter Collins of Knocknagoshel village, who is in his 40s, was arraigned at Tralee Circuit Court on one single charge.

That charge is the possession of cannabis for sale or supply at Gibbons Auto in Abbeyfeale on 1st February 2024, with the value of the drug being greater than €13,000.

The court previously heard Mr Collins was arrested after gardaí seized around 55kg worth of cannabis, with an estimated value of over €1.1 million.

The Knocknagoshel man was remanded on continuing bail and will be sentenced at a later date.
