Kinisla, formerly known as Kerry Dairy Ireland, has risen its May milk price to 38 cent per litre (c/l) including VAT, and quality and sustainability bonuses.
That's an increase of half-a-cent per litre on the price it paid farmers for milk supplied in March and April.
That's the equivalent of 41.63c/l incl. VAT when expressed at EU standard constituents (3.4% protein and 4.2% butterfat)
Based on the average milk solids supplies by dairy farms to Kinisla in May, the milk price inclusive of VAT, quality and sustainability bonuses is 40.93c/l.}
The milk processor rebranded as Kinisla last month.
In its May milk statement, it reported that global milk production continues to increase significantly.
It stated that prices are "stabilising and beginning to ease slightly" as markets assess future demand.
