Kerry Dairy Ireland has been renamed as Kinisla and is to create 100 new jobs over the next one-to-two years.
The new name was unveiled at an event in Listowel this morning, attended by Taoiseach Micheál Martin, and other public representatives.
In December 2024, Kerry Co-operative Creameries acquired a 70% shareholding in Kerry Dairy Ireland, returning majority ownership in the milk processor to the co-op.
“Kin” refers to the people involved, including farmers, farming families, and employees, while “isla” refers to the island of Ireland, especially the distinctive landscape of the south-west where the company began.
