Killorglin’s Astellas Ireland plant has won the top prize in the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland Energy Awards.
The annual competition recognises and rewards excellence in sustainable energy in business, communities, research, buildings, renewables, and the public sector.
Astellas, which manufactures pharmaceutical products for the global market from its Killorglin facility, was named Energy Team of the Year.

Over the last three years the company’s Energy Management Team has achieved an energy reduction of 15%.
