A Killarney travel agent is advising travellers affected by the widening Middle East conflict to wait for their airline to cancel their flight.

Áine O'Donoghue of Torc Travel, Killarney says travellers should not cancel their flights, because they won't get a refund, and that they instead should wait for the airline to do so.

Holiday makers and travelers in the Middle East are experiencing significant travel turmoil since the USA and Israel launched their offensive on Saturday.

People travelling to and from Australia, New Zealand, and the Far East are also impacted because emirates like Dubai often function as stopovers, and Middle Eastern airlines are significant carriers to Australia and New Zealand.
