Organisers of the Killarney Rally of the Lakes are distributing thousands of stickers and have included Michael Gaine’s story in the event programme asking for help in his case.
Mr Gaine was last seen in Kenmare on March 20th and an extensive missing person’s investigation was launched.
The case was upgraded to a homicide investigation by Gardaí yesterday evening.
The Rally of the Lakes is taking place this weekend and drivers will pass Michael Gaine’s farm in Carrig East, Kenmare.
Michael was an avid rally man and participated in rallies himself; as a tribute drivers will beep as they pass his land this weekend.
Chair of Killarney and District Motor Club, Tommy Randles has been friends with Michael Gaine since childhood.
