A Killarney man has been appointed to Tourism Ireland’s board of directors.
Pat O’Leary has over 40 years’ experience in the international port equipment industry.
He was the managing director of Leibherr from 2006, where he led transformative growth in turnover and the development of major infrastructure projects worldwide.
Mr O’Leary is also the current chair of the of the Kerry Tourism Industry Federation, and he serves on various boards and holds advisory positions including with the Port Equipment Manufacturers’ Association, Net Feasa and Munster Technological University.
Tralee Chamber Alliance has congratulated him on the position, saying it’s a significant appointment for Kerry, ensuring our county and the wider South-West region have a strong voice at the national tourism table.
