A Killarney councillor is urging Kerry County Council to extended playground opening hours during good weather.
Cllr John O’Donoghue told the recent meeting of the municipal district that he’s aware of several families who had hoped to use the facilities during recent fine evenings, only to find them closed.
In response, the council said the four Killarney MD playgrounds - {Fossa, Gaelscoil (Killarney), Knockreer (Killarney) and Rathmore} - close at 7.30PM during the summer months, in line with the clock change date.

The Kerry Independent Alliance councillor responded requesting an hour extension to opening hours be considered, during periods of good weather.
The motion was seconded by independent councillor, Martin Grady.
