A local voluntary community first responder scheme marks a decade of operations this weekend.
The Killarney Cardiac Response Unit recently attended their 2,700th call and now have teams in Killarney, Beaufort, Firies, Rathmore and Kenmare.

The entirely voluntary organisation maintains a 24/7 service to the areas served, and has a number of projects to increase community awareness through training.
This includes Operation Resuscitation, Restart a Heart and the School CPR Challenge .
