A Killarney business says it's been let down by Kerry County Council for failing to extend the footpath outside its premises for outdoor dining, despite making promises.

The Celtic Whiskey Bar was not included in the path-widening programme along New Street in Killarney last summer.

Manager of the bar, Luke Crowley Holland, said he was assured by the council that the work would be carried out before this summer season, but it has not happened.

Mr Crowley Holland said he's extremely disappointed they will not now be able to open as planned on June 7th.
