Fine Gael's Sean Kelly is the first MEP elected for Ireland in this year's European elections.
The Kilcummin native topped the poll in Ireland South last night, at Nemo Rangers GAA Club in Cork.
Speaking just minutes after being lifted onto the shoulders of his supporters, he said he 'wasn't worried at all about the far right' in terms of their influence in the European Parliament:
