Kerry's INTO rep welcomes proposal to allow trainee teachers become subs

Kerry's INTO representative is welcoming a proposal to allow final-year trainee teachers to take on substitute roles in schools.

It's due to hundreds of teachers being on sick leave due to COVID-19.

INTO rep for Kerry and Limerick, Anne Horan, says this would help ease the situation in primary schools across the country.

She's also calling for the reintroduction of contact tracing in schools.
