A Kerry TD says the strike action by the National Ambulance Service workers could and should have been averted.
Sinn Féin TD Pa Daly claims this could have happened if there’d been goodwill from the Government, HSE and NAS management.
Deputy Daly says these workers are the backbone of pre-hospital emergency care and save lives every day.
He says they continue to face understaffing, burnout, frustration and a failure to recognise their skills and responsibilities.
Deputy Pa Daly says the Government and Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill must ensure the recommendations of the 2020 review are implemented without further delay.
