Kerry TD says grade inflation won't disadvantage Leaving Cert students this year

Grade inflation won't disadvantage Leaving Cert students sitting their exams this year, according to the Education Minister.

Marks shot up in 2020 and 2021 after a 'calculated grades' system was introduced whereby students were assessed by their teachers.

This system will not be in place this year, with students sitting written exams as normal. Education minister Normal Foley says the difference will be taken into account.
