A Kerry TD has repeated his call for a dedicated Irish sports channel.
Deputy Michael Cahill made the comments at the Oireachtas Media Committee during an exchange with RTÉ Director General Kevin Bakhurst.
He claims a dedicated Irish sports channel would improve public access, ensuring fans are not left behind by the growing shift towards online streaming.
Deputy Cahill said many supporters are increasingly finding it difficult to access live games.
