A Kerry TD has raised concerns over the limited space available in one of the county’s burial grounds.
Fianna Fáil Deputy Michael Cahill flagged to Kerry County Council that Gneeveguilla graveyard is almost at capacity.
The council says the current graveyard is Church-owned and efforts to acquire land to extend it have been unsuccessful.
Deputy Cahill says it is very upsetting for locals to have to consider burying their loved ones outside of the parish.
He says it is crucial that Kerry County Council source suitable land in the local area.
