A Kerry TD has called on the Minister for Health to resume eyecare services in UHK as soon as possible.
Michael Healy Rae has described a total breakdown in ophthalmology services in University Hospital Kerry.
He says the service ceased completely since December 2023 due to contractual issues.

The Independent TD, he appreciates there can be an enormous strain on the current model, but closing the service is not the answer.
