Kerry TD calls for plan of action to tackle violent crime

A Kerry TD is calling for a combined effort from the Gardaí and Department of Justice to tackle violent crime in society.

Deputy Michael Cahill says that serious violence is on the rise, evidenced by daily news bulletins, and perceives the situation as out of control.

He cites the drug trade as a major driving force in the increase in violent crimes.

The Fianna Fáil TD is calling for a plan of action, financial funding, increased staffing, and dedicated units in each division to tackle violent crime in communities.
