Kerry TD calls for extensive consultations for firearms report

A Kerry TD has called for a forthcoming consultation on the Firearms Expert Committee to be as extensive as possible.

The Committee released its report last month and makes a number of proposals in relation to the regulation of firearms.

Sinn Fein spokesperson on Justice, Pa Daly, says safety and security should be an important part of any new regulatory regime.

His party is calling for any consultations to be as open and considered as possible.
