Kerry students recognised in ‘Poetry Aloud’ competition

Kerry students have been recognised in a poetry competition.

‘Poetry Aloud’ is held by the National Library of Ireland in partnership with University College Cork

The event invites second-level students to recite poems from memory.

This year’s competition received 328 entries, with 20 students selected as finalists.

Among them were Kieran Flynn, a student from Meán Scoil nua a Leith Triúigh, and Emiliana Ní Fhloinn, a student from Coláiste Íde

Fergal Ó'Corcoráin from Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne was named runner-up in the junior category.
