Students from Kerry are among those taking part in the of Young Environmentalist Awards competition.
The ECO-UNESCO Young Environmentalist Awards Munster semi-finals are taking place in Cork; the awards recognise the work of young people who have taken environmental action in their school or community.
Among those competing are students from Meán Scoil Nua an Leith Triúigh, Castlegregory; St Brendan's College Killarney; Pobalscoil Inbhear Scéine, Kenmare; and Mercy Mounthawk Secondary School, Tralee.

Their projects focus on a range of issues including biodiversity, community development and sustainable fishing practices.
