A Kerry Student has picked up a top national award on her project on the housing crisis.
Grace Diggins, a fifth year student at Causeway Comprehensive School, won gold at the recent Young Economist of the Year awards.
Her project was titled “The Irish Housing Crisis: Has Government Intervention Really Improved Housing Access and Affordability for Young People in Ireland”.
It followed months of work which included researching CSO data, surveying teachers under the age of 40, and doing international comparisons.
