Farmers who participate in the ACRES (Agri-Climate Rural Environment Scheme) will receive balancing payments this week.
According to the Department of Agriculture, these payments will be issued a month earlier than last year's.
Nationally, €37 million from the ACRES scheme is being given to 47,000 farmers this week.
Kerry Fine Gael Senator Mike Kennelly has welcomed the news.
He says these payments will prove vital for Kerry farmers who implement environmentally friendly practices.
