A Kerry senator wants petrol and diesel retailers to pass on savings immediately.
Senator Mike Kennelly made the call as government measures to ease the cost of fuel at the pumps are due from midnight tonight.
The package of measures should see diesel costs lowered by 20 cent and petrol by 15 cent per litre, until the end of May.

Meanwhile, Kerry TD Danny Healy-Rae wants the package of measures to include agricultural diesel, and rebaits for hauliers who don’t use a haulage licence.
