Kerry Senator feels Fine Gael leadership should have responded quicker to fuel protests

A Kerry Fine Gael Senator feels the party leadership should have responded quicker to the fuel protests.

Mike Kennelly says he agreed with the protests and took concerns from those who contacted him to party leaders.

He feels there is good communication between the Fine Gael leader and rest of the party.

However, Senator Kennelly believes the government should have taken action sooner:

Meanwhile, Senator Mike Kennelly says the lesson of recent weeks proves that there can’t be inaction around energy.

He raised the Shannon LNG project in Seanad Éireann and states it needs to be expedited.

Senator Kennelly believes if this project is delivered it will offset future fuel crises.
